All we ask is that you treat Carawirry kindly while you’re here — care for the buildings, respect the forest, follow the safety bits and leave the place feeling loved.

Everything is set up so your group can arrive, settle in and make the place your own — with the practical bits already taken care of.
When you book All of Carawirry, there are no other guests on the property, no nearby neighbours popping over to ask you to keep it down, and no onsite manager hovering about. It’s just your group, the forest, and 250 acres to enjoy.
The usual 9pm–9am quiet hours do not apply to All of Carawirry bookings. So you have the freedom to celebrate properly — play music, gather around the fire pits, share long dinners, dance in The Shed, laugh late into the night, or keep the good times rolling into a slow morning coffee on the deck.
We simply ask that you treat the property, buildings, wildlife and forest with care while you do. No damage, no unsafe behaviour, and no activities that put the property or people at risk.
In short: celebrate, enjoy yourselves, make memories — without having to watch the clock or worry about a knock on the door.
It’s not to scale, but it gives you a really good eagle-eye view of how Carawirry is set up — where the accommodation sits, how the internal driveways connect, where The Shed is, and how the walking trails, creek, dams and forest spaces weave through the property.
The accommodation side of Carawirry sits on about 90 acres, all on one side of Cabbage Tree Road. The remaining balance of the 250 acres sits across the road, with Carawirry Creek and walking trails winding through it.
When we have private guests staying in individual spaces, the cabins are spaced nicely apart so everyone has privacy. But when you book All of Carawirry, they’re still close enough that your group can easily move between them. It’s a short walk from one space to another, and the accommodation areas are also connected by gravel driveways, so they can be driven between if anyone in your group has mobility considerations.
It gives you the best of both worlds: room to spread out, but close enough to gather.
Once you’ve had a look at the mud map, the floorplans help with the next bit — working out who might feel most comfortable where.

The Shed is a 9m x 6m multipurpose gathering space, centrally located near Tathra House. It’s open, flexible and beautifully simple — timber ply-lined walls, open rafters, soft upward lighting into the rafters, and the option for more direct lighting when you need it.
With double stacker glass doors opening onto a covered verandah, plenty of power points and reverse-cycle air conditioning, it works beautifully in all kinds of weather. Warm and cosy when it’s cool. Cool and calm when the summer air rolls in.
It can become whatever your group needs:
Decorate it, style it, shift it around and make it feel like yours for the stay. We just ask that nothing permanent is attached or altered, and that decorations are easy to remove. No glitter, unless it’s natural glitter, and no permanent fixings, please.
It’s a malleable little space — simple, practical and ready for your group to make of it what you will.
We also have tables and chairs available to hire for The Shed.

You can add as many packages as you need, depending on your group size and how you’d like the space set up.
You’re welcome to organise external suppliers for your stay, such as catering, private chefs, grazing tables, music, massage, photography or other local experiences.
We’re happy to share details for local caterers, chefs, musicians and other service providers if that’s helpful.

Guest numbers and visitors
Your booking is for the agreed number of guests listed in your quote or confirmation.
If you’re planning to have extra day visitors, evening visitors, children not already included in the guest count, caterers, musicians, photographers, workshop facilitators or any other suppliers popping in, just let us know before arrival.
Anyone coming onto the property needs to be approved in writing first. This helps us keep an eye on parking, bedding, cleaning, safety and the general flow of the place.
The lead guest is responsible for everyone attending the property — overnight guests, day visitors and suppliers included.
Owner support and privacy
Carawirry is set up for self-contained, private stays. There isn’t an onsite manager hovering about, and most groups are left completely to themselves to settle in, gather, create, celebrate and enjoy the forest.
Heather and John are contactable during your stay if something urgent comes up or you need help with a property-related issue.
As the owners, we do retain the right to access the property if needed for maintenance, safety, property care or anything unexpected that may arise. This is rare, and we’ll always be respectful of your group and your time here.
If we need to access the inside of any accommodation space, we’ll seek you out first and let you know what’s happening before entering, unless there is an immediate emergency.
Fire pits and Total Fire Bans
Fires are one of the lovely parts of a Carawirry stay — slow nights, marshmallows, stories, and everyone drifting toward the glow.
Because we’re tucked into real Australian forest, fire safety matters.
Outdoor fires must stay within designated fire pit areas and are always subject to weather conditions and local restrictions. On Total Fire Ban days, outdoor fires are not permitted.
Fireworks, candles and indoor open flames are not permitted anywhere on the property.
Firewood is supplied, so there’s no need to bring your own.
Children and forest safety
Kids tend to love Carawirry. City shoes come off, devices get forgotten for a while, and they become little forest kids for a few days.
The property is still real bushland though, so children need active supervision.
Please keep a close eye on little ones around fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor baths, plunge pools, dams, creeks, decks, stairs, trails and wildlife.
Closed-toe shoes, torches and a few “stay where we can see you” boundaries go a long way.
Baths, plunge pools and water areas
The outdoor baths, plunge pools and bathhouse spaces are here for slow soaks, cool dips and those “aren’t we lucky?” moments.
Please take care around wet surfaces, and supervise children closely around all water areas.
A few simple rules:
No glassware, bath oils, dyes or bath bombs in or around baths, plunge pools or water areas.
Please bring your own swimming towels for creeks, dams or outdoor swimming. Accommodation bath towels and linen need to stay inside.
Cleaning, rubbish and departure
General cleaning is included, but we do ask that the property is left tidy.
Before you head home, please wash and put away dishes, clean BBQ plates, take rubbish to the council bins, turn off lights and appliances, close and lock windows and doors, and leave furniture and household items where they belong.
Extra cleaning, excess rubbish, damage, missing items, stained linen or decoration mess may be charged after departure.
A simple rule of thumb: leave the place feeling cared for, and we’ll take care of the proper clean.

Parking and vehicles
Please drive and park only on designated gravel roads, driveways and parking areas.
No driving or parking on grassed areas, even if it looks tempting. The ground can be soft, and bogged vehicles can cause damage to lawns, gardens and access areas.
If your group is bringing quite a few cars, let us know before arrival and we’ll help guide the best parking setup.
Mobile reception and Wi-Fi
Mobile reception can be patchy at Carawirry — part of the charm, honestly. Less scrolling, more stars.
Starlink Wi-Fi is available in the accommodation, so you can stay connected when you need to.
Before leaving home, please screenshot or download your arrival instructions, access details, contact numbers, supplier details and directions. Once you’re in the forest, it’s much easier to have the important bits saved.
Security cameras
For guest safety and property security, Carawirry has external security cameras on the driveways leading to the accommodation areas.
They’re external only. They’re not installed inside any accommodation and they’re not directed into private indoor spaces.
Payments, deposits and tax invoices
A quote is not a confirmed booking.
Your dates are only secured once the required deposit has been paid and we’ve sent your written booking confirmation.
Until then, the dates may still be booked by another guest.
If your booking is being made through a business, we’re happy to issue a tax invoice for the deposit and future payments.
Cancellation policy
Because All of Carawirry bookings include multiple accommodation spaces and can be tricky to refill at short notice, it’s worth reading the cancellation policy carefully before paying your deposit.
Travel insurance is always a good idea for group stays too, especially when lots of people are involved.
