We spent 4 nights for our 30th wedding anniversary in this fabulous location in the Treehouse as we soaked in the tubs, explored the walking trails as we hiked through the forest, swam in the water holes and shopped in nearby Dungog. The last day we both enjoyed a massage to cap off a very relaxing & much needed time away.

Tathra House, the Humpy and the surrounds are a great place to share a milestone with your family and relax, getting away from the stresses of city life.
The venue is well maintained and contains many inclusions that save you having to bring them with you.

This is our third stay at Carawirry and it gets better every visit! It si also the second time we've had professional family photos shot out there to kick off the stay, it's such a beautiful location. We stayed at The Treehouse this time and took full advantage of the dual bathouse. We had some friendly visitors again, two kangaroos and a bush turkey arrived right at check to say hello. As always the place was immaculate and fully stocked for the fireplace, campfire, and kitchen. A short run into Dungog for food and drinks and we were all set. It is incredible to enjoy the silence of nature being cut by my kids' joyous voices. It's not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for, the facilities are excellent and the cabins very well maintained. We will definitely be back. One word of warning though, I pulled a tick off my daughter's head within the first haf hour of us arriving and exploring around the cabin, and we pulled another from our other daughter's hair the night after we got home. Be sensible and check your family over after any expeditions outside, they're an annoying but expected part of the remote experience.
An amazingly beautiful and serene getaway. The treehouse was our accomodation. It was exceptionally clean, cosy and still big enough to feel like home. We cannot express how much we appreciated the twin baths in the bathhouse that allowed us to soak, relax and open the doors even late at night and feel connected to nature. Great privacy with how the cabins are all set out, well thought of setup. Firewood was plentiful and the detailed information guide for walking, hiking and bike riding tracks in the local area were useful. Detailed instructions for the gas bottles, combustion fire and outdoor fire pit. Lounges and bed were very comfortable. The natural wildlife and resident wallaby’s were lovely to hear, see and interact with. Thank you for the “roo” food.
What a beautiful getaway to relax, unwind and reset. We will be back.

A beautiful modern house in the tree tops.
What an awesome location for a 40th Birthday!! Such a relaxing, peaceful and wholesome weekend for not only myself but my beautiful friends!! Can't wait to plan our next trip!!
We had a wonderful stay at Gum Leaf cabin. I would highly recommend for those with kids who want to be able to relax with a little luxury but still plenty for the kids to do (creek exploring, bushwalks, bike riding) without having to leave the property.
Beautiful location and friendly people.
