Beautiful relaxing place to stay for our anniversary getaway. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the side-by-side bathtubs with a view out into the bushland

Enjoyed a mid-week getaway in gum leaf cabin. Stunning location to switch off with some beautiful walks, creeks and waterfalls to discover. The cabin had absolute privacy. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the future.

Best rainy weekend! We are so glad we picked the treehouse for a little weekend away. We loved going for walks around the place, the walks were easy to navigate with signs everywhere. The connection to nature was magical. Bedrooms were so cosy and open. We have made the best memories! Thank you for this beautiful treehouse experience

Our stay at Carrawirry was absoutely wonderful. Communication in the lead-up was excellent. Nothing was a trouble. Tathra House is besutiful and luxurious. All our guests commented on how lovely the house and location are. We really appreciated the privacy and will defiftely stay again whn we get the chance.

We had a wonderful weekend at The Treehouse—it was the perfect blend of relaxing, quiet, and fun. Surrounded by nature, the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind, and the cozy space was thoughtfully set up for comfort and enjoyment. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck, listening to the sounds of the trees, or exploring nearby, everything about the stay felt calming and refreshing. It was a great escape, and we’d definitely love to come back! Also massive shout out to Heather and her family who were helpful and ensured our stay was as beautiful as possible.

Wow!! What an Amazing place! Each cabin is unique and feels like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Heather was super helpful, and the yoga sessions are a must-try. Highly recommend!

We hired the entire property for my 40th birthday and it was simply magical! Right from the start Heather was great to deal with and when we visited to see if it was a good fit we were instantly blown away by the pristine forest, incredibly high quality rooms/amenities, and the whole feeling of the place. The weekend was a dream and we are very thankful to the owners who met all out needs, big and small.

Just had an awesome stay at the Gum Leaf Cabin! The facilities provided were 5 star! This would have to be the best bush stay I’ve had in 20 years.. I’ve already recommended this place to stay to my relatives from
Canada when they visit us!

Although it rained most of the time during our stay, it was a beautiful way to get away to relax from the Sydney madness..

We stayed in the gorgeous Gum Leaf cabin for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. A real feeling of isolation in the forest with ultra comfortable amenities. Visits from friendly wallabies and soaking in the outdoor tub were highlights. Heather and John were extremely helpful and accommodating.

This is by far the best place I have ever stayed at. Stayed in the cottage for 3 nights and it was amazing. So clean, luxury linen & house items. The scenery & surrounds were stunning. I cannot wait to come back, I will most definitely be a return guest.

We absolutely loved this place! The cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and complimentary to the natural surroundings. We enjoyed ourselves immensely exploring the trails and waterways near the cabin, as well as further afield, using the maps provided. We look forward to coming back!

Stayed here with my newly engaged fiancée. We were here for 4 nights, plenty of time go up some tracks on foot as well as in the Ute. Awesome scenery, friendly wildlife and an amazing place to stay, 10/10 will be back

We stayed in the cottage in Dec 2021 & knew we'd be back again! It's the perfect balance of being 'close enough' to Dungog (20 minute drive) for a wonderful pub feed and supermarket, but also being far enough out of town that you feel like you have the whole world to yourself. The breakfast hampers are amazing, and we really appreciate Heather organising the yoga & massage sessions so that we didn't have to do a thing other than relax. Lots of conversations with the local wildlife, and some beautiful hiking paths to rest and restore. We'll be back again (but hopefully not waiting another 3 years 🙂 )

Just spent 5 nights in the Treehouse for my 40th birthday. Did not want to leave on any level. Would rate it as one of the best trips away I’ve ever done and I’ve done a full lap of Australia! Loved every single moment, a truly deserved 10/10.

Friendliest wildlife you’ll ever meet, most relaxing environment you could ask for, indoor and outdoor fire was magic, walking tracks offered getting even more into nature, double baths were an absolute treat. Would definitely stay again.

We had a truly beautiful stay here, my boys unplugged, hugged, played in dirt, walked up and down muddy trails, hand fed kangaroos, we connected as a family and made truly unforgetable memories. Would love to visit again.

We spent three great nights here. Spent our days wandering the track on the property and a short drive up the road are some beautiful tracks in the state forest. We really enjoyed our time here amd this reset

Another amazing visit to Carawirry Forest Escape. We stayed at Tathra house and with a group of 11 family also utilised The Humpy. We can't say enough how much we love this special place. We have made ao many beautiful memories here. If you want to connect with family and nature, this is the place to go. So comfortable, a welcoming fire on arrival and instantly in relaxation mode. We even used the plunge pool in the middle of winter! Thanks again Heather and John.

Absolutely loved the place as did my NDIS client who grew up there. She was able to show me around and as an amateur photographer I took some awesome photos. Loved the experience of feeding two very cheeky kangaroos one morning and listening to the birds.

The property has plenty to offer for an unplugged getaway! Comfy beds, clean & tidy, hot showers and beautiful scenery.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! Myself and my wife have been here a few times and we will continue to go! It's an idyllic stay cation in the middle of forest that really let's your reset and refresh. The wildlife is friendly and the setting is perfect. Absolutely love this place.

We had a wonderful anniversary mini-break at Carawirry - so many gorgeous birds to watch and listen to; lovely indoor and outdoor fires; bath with the most scenic view (including the full moon!); and lots of space to relax and unwind. We had the most beautiful 3 nights at Carawirry staying in the Tathra House. The accommodation is absolutely stunning, it’s even more amazing than we imagined. We felt very comfortable there. The fire warmed the house beautifully keeping us all cozy. But also was happily surprised to find ducted heating to keep the rooms nice and warm for the kids. The little ones loved exploring and feeding the very friendly Wallaby we had hanging around! Will definitely be back 🤍

We recently got engaged at The Cottage and it was a wonderful place to enjoy our bubble. The cabin was cozy yet spacious, the outdoor tub was perfect for unwinding and the area was beautiful to hike around.
We had the big breakfast hamper which had amazing local produce and in house masseuse as an additional add ons to our stay which made our experience even better. Heather and John do a great job of thinking of everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy such a special occasion. Thankyou again!

We stayed in the treehouse cabin and it was awesome! Surrounded by nature with beautiful hiking trails just a minute or two out the door. The cabin itself was very clean and had very nice appliances

Perfection! We couldn’t speak highly enough about this place. The surroundings were idillic, the cottage had so much space and character - we truly had the best stay. Couldn’t fault a single thing. When booking this accomodation we were looking for somewhere with a camping feel but with a lot of luxury and that’s what we got. The cabins are set in a beautiful bush setting far enough away from the other cabins to allow you to enjoy the peace and quiet with privacy. The extra little details allows for flexible use of the space whether for a romantic getaway or time with family and friends. We stayed at the Treehouse cabin and the bathhouse allowed us to spend lazy afternoons taking in the bush view. We ordered the Breakfast hamper, brekkie box and grazing box which allowed us to enjoy delicious locally sourced food. We also used the provided camp oven to cook our own food in the fire pit. At the end of our stay we felt fully rejuvenated and will be back again as a couple and will also be staying here with family.

Look, life's a rollercoaster, right? But when we checked in, it was like hitting the pause button on all the noise. This place is the real deal for families. I mean, we all got along, had deep chats, and just genuinely enjoyed each other's company. You can't put a price on it.

And don't even get me started on the critters! Feeding wallaroos and possums was like an episode of Great Aussie Adventures.

Now, about the "waterfall"—or should I say, the lack of one. We walked all the way there and found it had dried up. But you know what? We laughed so hard, it became a highlight of our trip. Sometimes it's the unexpected twists which make the best stories.

Laughter? It's like the place has its own laughter track, only it's real and it's coming from you, the children, the family.

And if you're game, take a 5 am dip in the pool. Trust me, it's like a wake-up call for your soul.

This was our opportunity to unwind, and we, the adults, and kids ranging from 3 through 11, did.

None of this would have been possible without the care which has been put into this property, and all the care can be sensed in everything around. From the guide book on the table, through the way everything has been set out

Here's the gist of it: Carawirry isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience. We didn't know what we were missing until we got there, but now we're hooked. We're already planning round two (three for some)
